VILLA ANDROMAHI

Description

Villa Andromahi: Step into serenity
There are pure, timeless places untouched by ordinary time, unaffected by change. Villa Andromahi is steeped in tradition and 18th century Venetian style, yet married with the contemporary. Secluded, quiet, and nestled amid acres of serene cypress and cedar trees, gazing out to Ithaca, this unique place elevates above the rugged unspoiled Fiskardo shoreline, providing pristine blue sea and mountain views, and a mesmerizing rejuvenating sunrise. The uninterrupted panoramic view gives our guests the feeling of privacy and acts as the perfect setting for a memorable stay.
Villa Andromahi began as a derelict old traditional Venetian stone farmhouse. The owners opted to preserve its charm and expand its appeal respecting its long history. It was meticulously and lovingly restored, using the best European construction materials and finishes and it was extended in the same style and design to create a spacious home where white and beige tones in combination with minimalistic decor evoke feelings of serenity, wellness and purity. With the concept of relaxation in mind, the designers managed to combine all the luxurious elements with rustic touches in perfect harmony. The aura of the house is so soothing that you feel the positive energy the moment you step in.
The rectangular, turquoise swimming pool overlooking the sea, and the rich indigenous landscaped gardens and orchards, provide you with plenty of space for you and your loved ones to enjoy some quality time together, under the glorious Greek sun. There is an outdoor dining area, with BBQ facilities, sunbeds, cute little tables with chairs here and there so you can enjoy the view from every possible angle. Enjoy a tantalizing Mediterranean meal, share a glass of local wine, fall in love with an ethereal sunset, become one with Greek nature.
Choose Villa Andromahi for an ideal escape – private, secure, relaxed, tranquil – promising a leisurely and reviving stay!

Having fallen in love with the breathtaking view from the hill, the owners, Andromahi and Stefanos, decided to buy the property and build a house to take advantage of the vista. Being part of the only area in Fiskardo which has traditional Venetian homes that survived the 1952 earthquake, the house was built along the same strict design.
The house was designed to take full advantage of the surrounding views and the abundant summer light and it has been furnished with, high-end furniture, beds (pillow top mattresses) and linen (400 thread-count pure cotton), air-conditioning throughout, WiFi, Satellite & Antenna TV, TV’s, a high-fidelity speaker, comprehensive security and camera intercom systems, the most modern appliances and a fully-equipped kitchen amenities.
The villa is terraced and built on three levels, to allow for privacy inside and outside, as well as various additional seating areas. There are no other inhabited houses in front, and nothing behind it, save for a wild untouched Mediterranean forest, forming part of the property.

LEVEL ONE:
This the lowest level/terrace. It includes the studio/bedsit, with its own outside entrance, two single-bed pull-out mattresses (can be joined to form a double), TV, WiFi, bathroom with shower and toilet and a fully equipped laundry room with washer and dryer. There is an outdoor shower and the orchard and outdoor seating area includes a three-seater swing chair. All windows have sea or mountain views.

LEVEL TWO:
This is the main level/terrace. Coming up the driveway through the electric gate with intercom and cameras, you will find plenty of parking space including covered parking.

In front of the house is the old restored well, with a shady seating area in the afternoon, where you can relax and enjoy north-east vistas of the island.

— Level Two Consists Of Two Sections —

The main entrance takes you into the main section of the house, consisting of an open plan lounge, dining room and large fully-fitted white marble-topped kitchen, with guest toilet and wash basin, storage area for suitcases and it sprawls out, through wide glass doors, to a vast furnished patio & entertainment area, covered by an automatic electrically operated (wind-sensitive) awning, overlooking the sea and terraced gardens below.

From the kitchen, another entrance door leads to an outdoor furnished dining area, with two built-in Webber BBQ’s (gas and charcoal). In front of the dining & barbeque area, is a big pool with sun loungers, deck chairs and umbrellas – all overlooking the sea views.

The other section (on the left of the main section as you enter) are the first set of sleeping quarters, consisting of two spacious, multi-windowed bedrooms, one with direct access to the outside and mountain views, the other, with a quaint, romantic balcony, overlooking the sea and gardens below – both share a bathroom with a bath/shower and separate toilet.

LEVEL THREE:
A staircase takes you from lounge area up to a large master bedroom, with a king-size bed, a balcony with sea vistas, overlooking the patio and terraced gardens below and a private ensuite bathroom. The ensuite bathroom has separate ‘his’ and ‘her’ basins, a separate enclosed shower, a bath and an enclosed separate toilet.

The villa is located near the top of a hill on the outskirts of Fiskardo.

The entrance has an electronically operated gate which opens to the covered parking and house. It also has a pedestrian gate entrance, within the gate, and a key lockbox on the outside, should you not want to take your keys with you.

Villa Andromahi is not on a public transport route, but taxis are easily available.
Fiskardo & Emblissi beach are a 20 min walk (please bear in mind that the Villa is on a hill).
